Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Rick has been in the world of dentistry for over four decades, and he’s loved every minute of it. The most fulfilling part of his job is making his patients feel comfortable in the dental chair during any procedure. For him, dentistry is both his passion as well as one of his hobbies, as he gets the opportunity to build strong relationships with patients while helping them improve their pearly whites and gain greater confidence in themselves. Dr. Rick attended the University of Michigan for both his undergraduate degree and dental doctorate. Over the years, he has helped run several successful dental practices and is constantly striving to learn more within the world of dentistry. Today, he remains dedicated to expanding his expertise through continuing education and refining his skills.
Aside from treating pearly whites and helping others achieve their dream smiles, Dr. Rick loves spending time with his wonderful family and friends. He feels incredibly blessed to be surrounded by people he cherishes and also enjoys giving back to his community. For instance, he’s helped youth athletes over the years in various team sports, including hockey, as many have gone on to play college hockey while a few made it to the NHL. His other hobbies include attending Michigan football and hockey games and traveling to Florida whenever possible.
